In Their Steps – The History of Us

Join us for an event sponsored by the Bethlehem Area Moravian Ministries Committee (BAM MinCom). On Saturday, November 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Marie Couts, Director of Christian Education for the Eastern District will lead us on a walking journey into our past as we learn about and reflect on the life, witness, and impact of John Hus, John Amos Comenius, Nicholas Von Zinzendorf, Christian David, Anna Nitschmann and the Herrnhut community. She will also introduce us to many Moravian customs and practices in an engaging and hands on way at experiential learning centers. This event is perfect for curious inquirers, new Moravians, and “old” Moravians who want to learn more about our history and culture.
The program will begin in the Chapel, with the major portions of it taking place outdoors. It will involve walking around Central’s campus. Please dress according to the weather and know that casual attire is appropriate. In the event of inclement weather, the scheduled outdoor portions of the program will be held in Central’s Christian Education Building.
While BAM MinCom is covering the cost for our lunch, we are asking for a $5 registration fee. So that we can prepare enough materials and food for this event, please register by October 25.
