Ladies Sewing Society

The Ladies Sewing Society was established in 1861 by Polly Heckewelder for Civil War relief work and soon created the first “Polly” doll, a completely handmade doll (except for ribbons and shoes). Profits from the sale of the dolls go to the Church and other missionary causes. The group meets Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the Church Office Conference Room.
