Finding Grace in the Ups and Downs of Life – New Book Study

For the past several months a “Living with Grief” support group has met in the Chapel basement on Monday mornings at 10 a.m. This group would like to open our conversations to others and invites anyone looking to understand God’s grace in the midst of challenge to join us for a book study on “Small Victories: Spotting Improbable Moments of Grace” beginning on Monday, April 8 at 10 a.m. and continuing each Monday in the Chapel basement.

Best-selling author Anne Lamott uses personal stories and humor in her own authentic Christian journey to discuss difficult and painful subjects in this book. Our victories over hardship and pain may seem small, she writes, but they change us—our perceptions, our perspectives, and our lives. Lamott writes of forgiveness, restoration, and transformation, how we can turn toward love even in the most hopeless situations, how we find the joy in getting lost and our amazement in finally being found.
